Q: Where will you do portraits?
A: Anywhere. There is a certain "comfort zone" for a photographer to work in their environment, but for you to project your best personality and have the total lifestyle portrait you prefer; your location is often the best. I have created portraits in fields of flowers, in clients' homes and gardens, in parks, along rivers, in water, in fact, most any place a client has a special feeling for.
Q: How much time do you reserve for my portraiture?
A: As much time as needed to create the portrait you have always dreamed of. Usually no more than two hours of time is needed and I only schedule a limited number of sessions per day so we will take as long as you need to capture your perfect picture.
Q: Do you create pet portraits?
A: Yes, I have an entire website dedicated to pets to create loving portraits of these special members of your family, please visit
http://www.petspawsphotography.net
Q: Some photographers do not like to photograph small children. How do you handle these sessions?
A: I love kids! Their naturally inquisitive nature, openness and honesty make for the ideal portraits. I recommend bringing some of their favorite things from home. Everyone feels more comfortable around their "stuff" and kids are no exception. I like the simple outfits like white slips for little girls and overalls for little guys. Tiny bare feet and hands tend to be a focal point in our children's portraiture.
Q: Digital or film...What's best???
A: I have converted to a fully digital many years ago. I only use state-of-the-art, high end equipment with a resolution to deliver wonderful portraits in the larger wall portrait sizes. The added benefits are immediate viewing of preview, very inexpensive digital retouching and image manipulation, and previews "on the net" for ease of out of town family and friends to review and order.
Q: What about cost?
A: I have a very reasonable Session fee to cover our creative time. Portraits may be purchased of your own design or individually or even just a CD of the entire photo session. I have no minimum purchase and retain digital files indefinitely. I accept cash or check.
Q: For Senior portraits, what should I bring? Is there any limit to the number of outfits I can bring?
A: Senior portraits are a special celebration of a 12-year achievement. My philosophy, as in all of my photography, is that your portraits should say something about what you are like, not just what you look like. They should be an extension of your personality. To that end, bring things that are important to you, that reflect that little something that makes you unique. Bring several outfits to show your many facets. Many different styles is the key, not just numbers of outfits.
